What is Minecraft Factions? Minecraft Factions is a complex game mode in which you can create, or be a member of, a faction. A faction is basically a group of players that play and work together playing in Minecraft survival. With Factions you can claim territory, which is then protected and only accessible for players in the faction. This means that only players inside of the faction can do things such as building, opening chests, doors and destroying blocks. Factions are involved in building relations with other factions, or destroying them by waging wars. Raiding is also a big part of factions, which is the act of attacking an opposing faction's territory in order to acquire loot of for the fun of it. How to Start as a Player? In order to get started, you'll need to join or create a faction. The joining process is really simple, simply ask around for a faction that's looking for new members. To create a faction type in the following command with {name} being the name of you want for your faction: Creating a faction /f create {name} Got the name wrong? Don't worry, you can change it with: /f rename {old name} {new name} Claiming territory To claim territory, you need to stand in the wilderness. To go somewhere random you can type /wild. Now to make your claim, type in: /f claim This will claim a chunk for your faction. Don't know what a chunk is? It's a 16x16 area of land ranging all the way from bedrock to the sky-limit! To visualise this, type in /f view. Not happy with a claim you made? To unclaim a chunk, type in (while standing in the correct chunk): /f unclaim Want to see your claims on a map? Type in: /f map Managing your claims Information about your faction can be displayed by simply typing in /f menu. A little menu will pop-up looking like this: <img src="https://i.imgur.com/Ox1NhwS.png" alt="settlement" width="356" height="225" /> This menu shows you an overview of your faction (a.k.a. settlement). In this menu you can manage your area's, trusted players, invites, inbox, statistics, flags, roles taxes and some cosmetical settings. Inviting players to your faction To invite other players, which you trust, into your faction, you can type in: /f trust {player name} [area or * for whole faction territory] To learn more about area's go to the <a href="https://unitedfactions.net/forum/topic/34-about-faction-areas/#post-41" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">AREA TUTORIAL</a>. Untrusting goes in similar way using: /f untrust {player name} [area or * for whole faction territory] Setting your faction's spawn Your faction's spawn is very important, it offers you and your members the ability to quickly teleport there. It will also be the place where you respawn when you die. To set your faction spawn type in: /f setspawn To go to your faction spawn, type in: /f spawn Depositing money into your faction bank Every faction has a faction bank. This bank is used to purchase new claims and to pay upkeep for your claims. To deposit money into the bank, type: /f deposit {amount} To withdraw money from the faction bank to your own account, type: /f withdraw {amount} Other commands for factions: Display command usages: /f help Unclaim all chunks /f unclaimall Show top ten factions /f top Set a role for a player /f setrole {player} [area,*] [role] Select an area for actions such as /f claim /f selection Chat with members of your faction /f chat
