Raid-proof claims after a rough morning
SanctumOculi woke up to damage, Skyhills became the name in chat, and half the server started checking its borders.
SanctumOculi woke up to damage, Skyhills became the name in chat, and half the server started checking its borders.
Front-page facts
During the night of August 30, SanctumOculi was raided.
LosCattos reported the damage from the SanctumOculi side on Sunday morning. The base had taken a hit near its claimed border. Storage was damaged, items were gone, and chat did what chat always does after a raid: it picked up a name and ran with it.
That name was Skyhills.
The Herobrine Herald is keeping that wording straight. Skyhills was named as a suspect in chat. That is not the same as printing a verdict on every member of the faction. It is the story as it moved through the server this morning: SanctumOculi was hit, LosCattos raised it, and Skyhills was the faction people started talking about.
The raid itself came from the edge of the land. Shortly before 02:00 CEST, TNT was placed outside the protected claim. The blast reached inward. Storage built too near the border took the hit.
That is the warning for every faction today: a claim can exist and still leave the wrong room exposed.
What happened overnight
The overnight timeline is short.
Before 02:00 CEST, the raiders worked from outside SanctumOculi land. TNT went off beyond the claim line. The protection still stopped outsiders from simply walking into the claim and breaking blocks by hand, but the blast damage reached the edge of the base.
Once blocks broke and storage opened, the raid turned into loot on the ground and a morning full of questions.
This was the border game: a protected base, a dangerous edge, and valuables sitting too near the first place an enemy would test.
The lesson for builders
Claims are not just a box around your build. They are space you buy for the rooms that matter.
A vault beside the border is easy to love while you are building. It is close, neat, and convenient. It also gives enemies the shortest possible road from the outside world to your best items.
Move the valuable rooms deeper in. Put cheap space around them. Stone, empty rooms, farms, water, walls, corridors, anything you can afford to lose before the important chests are touched.
The claim line marks your land. The buffer is what gives your base time.
Check your faction today
Walk the border. Start at storage.
Then check spawners, farms, machines, villagers, horses, brewers and rare blocks. Anything painful to lose belongs behind a buffer, not against the edge.
Clean up roles as well. Launch weeks are busy. People get invited fast, trusted fast, promoted fast. A faction that never reviews access is asking yesterday’s trust to protect tomorrow’s base.
Keep the permissions simple. Keep the valuables deeper in. Keep the claim wider than the room you care about.
What The Herobrine Herald is leaving out
The Herobrine Herald is not publishing a route map.
No coordinates. No weak side. No TNT count. No distance. No chest list. No private chat. No raw searches. No punishment gossip.
The public record is clear enough without all that: SanctumOculi was raided during the night of August 30, LosCattos reported it, Skyhills became the suspect named in chat, and the raid showed why claim borders need room behind them.
For every faction reading this before logging in: check the edge before someone else does.
