Join United Factions

The server address and joining steps for Java and Bedrock.

Server address: play.unitedfactions.net
Bedrock port: 19132

Choose the instructions for your edition. Minecraft: Java Edition and Minecraft for Windows (Bedrock) use different menus, even on the same PC.

Java Edition

  1. Open Minecraft: Java Edition and select Multiplayer.
  2. Choose Add Server. The server name can be “United Factions”.
  3. Enter play.unitedfactions.net as the server address.
  4. Save the entry, select it and choose Join Server.

You don't normally need to enter a port for Java. The server address supplies the connection information automatically.

Bedrock on Windows, Android and iOS

  1. Open Minecraft and go to Play → Servers → Add Server.
  2. Set the server name to “United Factions”.
  3. Enter play.unitedfactions.net as the address and 19132 as the port.
  4. Save the server and join it.

If the multiplayer option is unavailable, check the account's multiplayer permissions. Family settings can restrict access to multiplayer servers.

Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch

These console versions don't normally offer the same Add Server field. Don't expect the Windows or mobile instructions above to work unchanged.

Community LAN or DNS workarounds may be available, but their availability depends on your device, network and current console software. They aren't a guaranteed connection method. Check the official community support channels for current advice before changing your network settings or paying for a companion app.

Can't connect?

  • Check the edition. Java and Bedrock use different connection steps.
  • Check the spelling. Enter the address without https:// or a trailing slash. Bedrock needs port 19132.
  • Read the error message. If Minecraft reports an incompatible client, ask support which client version is currently supported. Don't assume that every older or newer release will work.
  • Ask for help with the useful details. Give your edition, device and the exact error message. Leave passwords and account recovery codes out of it.

Read the server rules, then decide whether to look for a team or start with friends. Joining the server does not automatically put you in a faction.
