    A few players asked a good question today:

    What should /f top mean on United Factions?

    On many Factions servers, /f top is a leaderboard. It shows which factions are doing well.

    But there are different ways to measure “doing well”. A faction can be strong because it has land. It can also be strong because it has active members, wins fights, survives raids, or builds a valuable base.

    That is why this topic matters. If raiding and defending are part of the game, then base value and raid results should matter too.

    The problem with exact FTop values

    There is one big problem: exact value can give away too much.

    If the website says exactly which faction has the richest base right now, it becomes a target list. Players would know who is worth raiding before doing any scouting themselves.

    That would not feel fair. Factions should win by building, defending, scouting, raiding, making allies, and making smart choices. They should not win only by watching a live website for secret information.

    A safer idea: Value Influence

    One idea is to measure real faction value in the background, but show it carefully in public.

    Instead of showing exact numbers, the public leaderboard could show something like Value Influence.

    That means:

    • The server can count important value in the background.
    • The public page does not show exact values.
    • The public page does not show spawner counts or block lists.
    • The public page does not show where anything is.
    • The score can be rounded or delayed, so it is not live raid information.

    This way, valuable bases still matter, but factions keep some secrecy.

    What would the commands do?

    A simple setup could be:

    • /f top shows the main season ranking.
    • /ftop or /f top value shows Value Influence when it is ready.
    • The website explains that value scores are rounded and delayed on purpose.

    So /ftop would still feel like Factions, but it would not reveal every secret base detail.

    UF Strength also needs balance

    Right now, some parts of UF Strength can fill up too quickly early in the season. For example, a faction can get a very high claim score with only a small number of claims.

    More land should help, but it should not be too easy to max out. Active members should help too, but only if the faction is really active.

    A better ranking could look at:

    • land and claims;
    • active members;
    • season progress;
    • wars and raids;
    • value that was built and protected.

    Season 1 fairness

    Season 1 runs until December 1, 2026. Because of that, we should be careful with big scoring changes.

    A fair plan could be:

    1. First improve the current UF Strength scaling.
    2. Then test Value Influence as a preview score.
    3. Let players give feedback.
    4. Clearly announce when and how it will count.

    The goal is simple: make /f top feel like real Factions, make raids and defense matter, and protect each faction’s secrets.

    What do you think?

    • Should public FTop show exact numbers, rounded tiers, or only a delayed score?
    • How much should value matter compared with land, activity, progress, and war?
    • What should count as fair faction value?

    Please keep the discussion focused on the system, not on calling out specific factions or players.

    I think f top should take into account the individual players stats of the players in the faction and use those to determine how strong a faction is. Such as playtime, blocks mined, K/D, kills, participated wars, blocks places, and many more.
