Base defense that buys time

A good Factions base is built to waste the attacker’s time. It uses layers, repair access, decoys, separated storage and strict roles so one mistake does not empty the whole faction.

Short version

Goal Delay, not immortal

No honest United Factions guide should sell an unraidable base. Defense should make attacks expensive, visible and slow.

Economy Loot is physical

Gold, supplies and gear can exist in chests and inventories. Vault design is part of economic defense.

Claims Borders matter

Lands wars and capture flags make claim borders active gameplay. Do not ignore roofs, corners or staging angles.

People Permissions matter

Many base losses start with internal permissions. Recruit trust should be a slower process than wall building.

How it works in-game

  1. Make attackers reveal themselves before they reach valuable rooms.
  2. Make every wall repairable from somewhere your members can safely reach.
  3. Keep valuables, utility and treasury access separated so one breach is not total failure.

What to do

  1. Separate the shell, repair lanes, utility rooms and vault. If every system touches one wall, one breach becomes a total loss.
  2. Build visible layers and hidden priorities. Raiders should not know which wall protects valuables and which wall protects a decoy room.
  3. Keep repair supplies distributed. If all spare obsidian is in the main vault, you will not have it when the vault wall is under fire.
  4. Audit members weekly. Remove old roles, check trusted users and make sure leadership accounts are secure.

Defense is economic

Your goal is not immortality. Your goal is to make the raid expensive, noisy, slow and risky. If attackers spend more than they can gain, the base is doing its job.

Common weak points

Most bases fail through roof gaps, unclaimed edges, over-trusted members, exposed utility blocks, single-layer vaults, no repair lane or no one watching during active raid windows.

Check this first

  • Vault is not touching the outer wall.
  • There is a repair lane behind important walls.
  • Recruit roles cannot open high-value storage.
