Raiding and attacks

A good raid is planned, legal and controlled. Scout the claim, bring the right supplies, assign jobs, and know when the attack is over.

A good raid is planned, legal and controlled. Scout the claim, bring the right supplies, assign jobs, and know when the attack is over.

Short version

Declaration 10 min prep

Current config allows non-mutual declarations, requires the target to have someone online for declaration, and starts after a 10 minute preparation window.

Capture Beacon flags

Capture flags use a beacon recipe, max 2 active flags, 10 minute hold time, radius 1, and can unclaim then claim the affected chunk.

Money on war end No payout now

War-end payouts are disabled for launch. Raids still matter because carried gear, gold and supplies are physical.

Inventory Keep inventory off

War keep-inventory is disabled. Physical gold and carried gear remain meaningful risks during fights.

How it works in-game

  1. Declare or respond to war with a plan for the 10 minute preparation window.
  2. Use capture flags to pressure claims; do not describe the fight as power draining.
  3. Treat loot and carried gold as physical risk, while war-end balance transfer is currently disabled.

When player lands can be attacked

Outside an active war, player lands are protected from TNT damage, entity griefing, piston griefing and fire spread. During a live war, those protections are lifted. Defenders must be online when war is declared, followed by 10 minutes of preparation. Logging out once the war starts does not end it.

These protections apply to player lands; they are not a blanket rule for every world or every PvP encounter. Read the server rules before attacking. See the September protection update for the announced change.

What to do

  1. Scout without cheating. Look for legal sightlines, exposed corners, weak claim shapes, activity patterns and repair access.
  2. Bring measured supplies: TNT, redstone, blocks, tools, food, pearls, water/lava where legal, and replacement parts for the cannon.
  3. Assign roles before firing. Builder, timer, spotter, PvP cover and loot runner should not all be the same player.
  4. After a breach, move quickly but keep evidence clean. Do not use bugs, dupes, lag or harassment to turn a raid into a ban.

Recon decides the raid

The target wall is rarely the whole story. Check claim borders, possible counter-cannon locations, repair access, roof protection, exits and whether the faction is online enough to respond.

Attack in phases

Confirm that a war is active before attempting destructive attacks on player land. Agree on roles and follow the war objectives. A declaration or preparation countdown is not the same as an active war.

War is capture pressure

Current Lands wars reward kills and capture flags. A successful capture can move chunk control, so defenders need observation, counterplay and repair supplies around borders rather than only a hidden vault.

Check this first

  • You understand the target claim border.
  • The cannon can be repaired without blocking the shot.
  • Everyone knows the stop condition.
