United Factions uses Lands for territory. There is no old power pool. You hold land with claimed chunks, clean roles, upkeep gold, relations, and enough members to watch what you own.
Short version
The word faction is community language. The authoritative system is Lands: lands, chunks, roles, relations, upkeep and wars.
Current config collects economic tasks daily around 23:00 server time. Upkeep is enabled at 9 per chunk, paid from the land bank buffer fed by treasury gold.
Current config does not automatically unclaim unpaid chunks. Still, unpaid upkeep is a warning sign and can be changed by balance updates.
Relations are enabled and broadcast. Nations are currently disabled, so diplomacy is land-to-land for launch unless config changes.
How it works in-game
- Claim only territory you can inspect, supply and defend.
- Put gold into the treasury plan before expanding, because every claimed chunk increases upkeep.
- Use roles for internal trust and relations for external politics. They solve different problems.
What to do
- Claim connected chunks in a shape you can actually defend and pay for. Thin arms and random islands are difficult to monitor and inflate upkeep.
- Separate public, member and leadership areas. New recruits do not need access to vault controls, spawners or high-value storage.
- Review role flags before trusting players. Owner, Officer, Member, Ally and Outsider are very different security layers.
- Keep notes: who was trusted, what role they had, and when permissions changed. That makes staff review and internal cleanup much easier.
Roles are your inner wall
Use Leader and Officer powers sparingly. Current Officer defaults include trusting players, setting roles, claiming, border claiming, balance withdraw and war management. Normal members should not inherit leadership convenience by accident.
Expansion has a running cost
A bigger land is not automatically stronger. More chunks mean more borders, more repair surface and more upkeep pressure. A smaller land with active members, stockpiled gold and clean role boundaries can be safer than a huge empty claim.
Diplomacy is not nations yet
Allies and enemies are enabled. Nations are disabled in current config, so do not promise nation taxes, nation upkeep or nation-wide politics until that feature is deliberately switched on and tested.
Check this first
- Recruit/member roles cannot touch main vault controls.
- Claims are connected, affordable and easy to inspect.
- Leadership knows who can manage relations, claims, balance and wars.
